Steps and cadence
Why steps or cadence may be missing or surprising.
Steps come from supported motion or health sensors. Cadence is derived from available step and time samples, so delayed batches or missing motion permission can leave it blank or make it unreliable.
What to do
- Enable Motion & Fitness or physical-activity access.
- Keep the phone with you during the activity.
- Do not treat a single extreme cadence value as a fitness measurement.
